Administrative Reports
Scope and Contents
This collection contains a variety of reports produced by administrative offices, academic departments, task forces, and external accreditation and evaluation agencies. Most of these reports were produced for submission to the Office of the President, although series 3 and 4 also contain self-study reports produced by academic departments that were intended for submission to outside agencies (accrediting bodies and the New York State Education Department). Reports in this collection address all aspects of academic and strategic planning at the departmental and institutional levels. Particular topics of interest include: program accreditation, campus planning, marketing, student enrollment and outcomes, academic technologies, and faculty credentialing.

Background Information
The creation of periodic written reports is a vital aspect of effective academic administration. Although the records in this collection do not represent the workings of any single department, the Office of the President is generally responsible for overseeing all high-level planning actions at the Colleges. Individual departments write annual reports for internal administrative use. Additionally, academic programs must periodically seek re-accreditation from professional bodies and must be evaluated for registration by the State Education Department.

Arrangement
The Collection is organized into five series, each of which is arranged chronologically. The series are as follows:
Series 1 - Annual Reports
Series 2 - Master Plans and Long Range Planning Documents
Series 3 - Accreditation Reports
Series 4 - Program Proposal, Evaluation, and Registration Reports (NYSED)
Series 5 - Miscellaneous Reports
Processing Information
Materials in this collection were originally processed as two separate artificial reports collections, but were combined and re-processed for simplicity and ease of access in 2017.
